Assume the iconic Robin Hood in this tower-defense-meets-base-building game
Robin Hood: Sherwood Defenders is an action game developed by MeanAstronauts for PC. In this combat-filled experience, players step into the shoes of Robin Hood, the legendary heroic outlaw highly skilled in archery and one of the most iconic figures in English folklore.
With its tower defense and base-building mechanics, Robin Hood: Sherwood Defenders offers unique and intense gameplay, letting players defend the base with swordplay and archery from waves of enemies. This third-person, tactic-based title is set in a medieval world, featuring realistic 3D graphics and exploring themes of war and destruction.
Protect the base from the Sheriff’s forces
Set in Nottingham land, play as the iconic Robin Hood to defend your base in the open field from the forces of the nefarious Nottingham Sheriff trying to take over. Build various structures around the base to prevent enemy factions from getting in and participate in intense battles using swords, bows, and arrows by leaping through the constructions to eliminate them.
While structures, including walls, towers, and gates, are mainly for defensive purposes, they can be integrated with traps, making it possible to execute surprise attacks against the Sheriff forces. Furthermore, you can hire soldiers to prevent the invaders from getting into the central part of the base before they can even get the chance to do so by deploying them outside the gates.
Be mindful of carelessly building, though. The resources are limited, so every move must be carefully thought out. On the brighter side, successfully defending the base means moving to a new area and unlocking new buildings, defenses, and warriors. You can even unlock new arrows for Robin. Unfortunately, this is only available for solo playing, as it has no cooperative and competitive gameplay.
Swordplay and archery
Robin Hood: Sherwood Defenders offers an engaging and intense action experience, combining tower defense and base-building mechanics with the thrill of swordplay and archery. The game’s strategic depth, from resource management to planning defenses, keeps players invested in every move. Although the lack of multiplayer options may limit its appeal, the solo gameplay and progression system provide plenty of excitement for fans of medieval combat and tactical challenges.
